So, you’ve heard about the competition and you want to win a free sofa! Great, you’re in the right place.

Simply follow the instructions below and make sure you’re across the terms and conditions.

1. Promoter

The promoter is Secret Sofa (“Secret Sofa”, “we”, “us” or “our”).

2. Eligibility

Entry is open to Australian residents aged 18 years and over.

Employees of Secret Sofa, their immediate families, and any agencies or suppliers directly associated with this promotion are not eligible to enter.

Entrants must reside at the property shown in their competition entry or have permission from the property owner or resident to submit photographs of the space and participate in the competition.

3. Competition Period

Entries open at 9am, 8 September (AEST) and close at 10pm 18 September (AEST).

Entries received after the closing time will not be considered.

The ten finalists will be announced on Monday 21 September.

Community voting/Instagram post will open at 11am on Tuesday, 22 September and close at 10pm, 29 September (AEST).

4. How to Enter

To enter, entrants must:

• Follow the Secret Sofa Instagram account @secretsofa_
• Send Secret Sofa a direct message via Instagram containing at least four clear photographs of the living space they would like to transform with a new sofa with your postcode.
• Provide any additional information requested by Secret Sofa to confirm eligibility.

There is no purchase necessary to enter.

Photos should clearly show the room and the available space for the sofa.

Entrants should avoid submitting photographs containing identifiable people, children, personal information, addresses or other sensitive information.

5. Selection of Finalists

Following the close of entries, Secret Sofa will select ten finalists from eligible entries.

Finalists will be selected based on factors including the suitability of the space, potential for transformation, quality and suitability of the submitted photographs and the overall suitability of the entry for the campaign.

Secret Sofa will contact potential finalists via Instagram direct message before publishing their entry.

Finalists must confirm that they consent to their submitted photographs being published as part of the competition.

If a selected finalist does not respond within the timeframe specified by Secret Sofa, another finalist may be selected.

6. Community Voting

The ten finalist spaces will be published on the official Secret Sofa Instagram account and identified by your name i.e. 'The Wilson's space'.

Instagram users can vote for the space they believe deserves a Secret Sofa transformation by commenting on the official voting post with the relevant finalist space name.

Only comments made on the original Secret Sofa competition voting post will be counted.

Each Instagram account is entitled to one valid vote. Multiple comments from the same account will not result in additional votes.

Likes, reactions, direct messages, comments on shared posts and comments that do not clearly identify a finalist will not be counted as votes.

Finalists and their supporters are welcome to share the competition, tag friends and encourage others to vote.

7. Fair Voting

Votes must be genuine.

Secret Sofa reserves the right to disregard votes that it reasonably believes have resulted from:

• fake or automated Instagram accounts;
• bots or automated commenting;
• purchased comments or votes;
• duplicate accounts created for the purpose of voting;
• vote-swapping or organised artificial voting services;
• any other attempt to manipulate the result.

Secret Sofa may disqualify a finalist where it reasonably determines that the finalist has been directly involved in deliberate vote manipulation.

Secret Sofa's determination of valid votes will be final.

8. Winner

The finalist receiving the highest number of valid votes before voting closes will be the winner.

If two or more finalists receive the same number of valid votes, Secret Sofa will determine the winner from the tied finalists based on which space it believes provides the strongest opportunity for a Secret Sofa transformation.

The winner will be contacted via the Instagram account used to enter and announced through Secret Sofa's social channels.

The winner must respond and accept the prize within five business days of being contacted.

If the winner cannot be contacted, does not respond within this period or is subsequently found to be ineligible, Secret Sofa reserves the right to award the prize to the eligible finalist with the next-highest number of valid votes.

9. The Prize

The winner will receive a Saxon 3 or 4.5 seat sofa in Chocolate (only colour option).

The prize cannot be redeemed for cash, credit or any other product except where expressly agreed by Secret Sofa.

Once the winner has confirmed their selected sofa, configuration and/or upholstery, no change-of-mind returns or exchanges will be permitted.

If the advertised prize becomes unavailable due to circumstances outside Secret Sofa's reasonable control, Secret Sofa may substitute the prize with an equivalent or higher-value product.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes any rights that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.

10. Delivery

Standard delivery of the prize is included up to a maximum delivery value of $500.

If delivery to the winner's location exceeds this amount, the winner will be advised of the additional cost before delivery is arranged and will be responsible for paying the difference.

Additional charges may apply for regional or remote locations, difficult access, specialist delivery requirements or other circumstances outside standard delivery.

The winner is responsible for ensuring that the selected sofa is suitable for their property before confirming the prize.

This includes checking:

• room dimensions;
• sofa dimensions;
• doorways;
• hallways;
• staircases;
• lifts;
• building access; and
• any other access restrictions.

Secret Sofa will provide product dimensions to assist with this process.

Any additional costs resulting from incorrect measurements, inadequate access, failed delivery or redelivery may be the responsibility of the winner.

11. Use of Entry Content

By submitting photographs or other content as part of the competition, entrants confirm that they own the content or have permission to provide it to Secret Sofa.

Entrants grant Secret Sofa a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to reproduce, publish, crop, edit and use submitted competition content for the purposes of administering and promoting the competition.

Finalists additionally agree that their submitted photographs may be published on Secret Sofa's website, social media channels, email marketing and other owned marketing channels in connection with the competition.

Secret Sofa will not publish an entrant's residential address.

12. Winner Content

As a condition of accepting the prize, the winner agrees to reasonably cooperate with Secret Sofa in creating content showing the winning space and the completed sofa transformation.

This may include photographs and/or video of the room before and after delivery of the sofa.

Secret Sofa may use this content across its website, social media, email, digital advertising and other marketing channels.

Any photography or filming involving identifiable individuals will be subject to appropriate consent.

13. Privacy

Personal information collected as part of the promotion will be used for the administration of the competition and related purposes in accordance with Secret Sofa's privacy practices.

Only information reasonably necessary to operate the competition will be requested.

Entrants should not provide sensitive personal information through their photographs or competition entry.

14. Instagram

This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by or associated with Instagram or Meta.

Entrants acknowledge that they are providing their information to Secret Sofa and not to Instagram.

To the extent permitted by law, entrants release Instagram from claims arising in connection with this promotion.

15. General

Secret Sofa reserves the right to verify the eligibility of entrants, finalists and votes.

Secret Sofa may amend, suspend or cancel the promotion if circumstances outside its reasonable control prevent the competition from being conducted fairly or as intended, subject to applicable laws.

Secret Sofa is not responsible for entries or votes that are lost, delayed, incorrectly submitted or not received due to technical issues outside its reasonable control.

Secret Sofa's decisions regarding finalist selection, vote validation and administration of the competition are final, subject to applicable law.
